Primarily, I do Website Design & Re-Design for small businesses using the WordPress platform. I have also been involved in other types of graphic and print design project as well as writing projects. Copywriting for businesses was what first inspired me to learn Adobe Creative Suite. I learned InDesign, which led me to Photoshop, and then Illustrator. As I completed small projects for my husband's clients, I learned quickly how to integrate all of the programs to the point where I could build an entire website using Adobe and Wordpress. My first project came about as an experiment as our small design firm was over-booked with clients and my husband let me experiment with setting up a website for a family friend. I was hooked... I spent about 120 hours on my first site and was finishing them faster than he was. (Shhh don't tell him I told you that but it's so true) Along with website design and writing content for businesses and individuals- I also have been caught designing brochures, creating custom logos, constructing wedding invitations, and even event planning. During the consultation, we will talk about what your vision is, and how you can manage your own content after the website is complete. I will see where you are at with your content (text & images) and then we will go into your design vision or inspiration. Prices are always dependent on the time and complexity of your project.
What I do is take content or ideas that you provide and successfully communicate and persuade your audience through writing. This is extremely important for any business’ website, because what you have written for your viewer to read about your service or product can make or break whether they will do business with you. I work closely with different photographers that have special rates for businesses I work with. If you need professional photographs taken for your website, please contact me for a referral.
If you have your photography ready- but you need help putting your brochures and flyers together- I use Adobe CS5’s InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator to create beautiful print material. Please note that I do not print the actual brochures- this will need to be outsourced to a 3rd party- I create designs that correspond to your branding and website to be printed after you approve them.
My rates vary, as the vigor of each project varies. Ideally, My client will provide for a detailed RFP (Request for Proposal) in order for me to most accurately evaluate the project, or set up a free consultation call or meeting to explore possibilities. Website Design Plan: A proposal will be provided based on scope of project, with half to be paid up front, and half upon site launch Website Management/Hosting: $20/month (unlimited support) or $40/hour on-call maintenance (no monthly fee) Print Design, Copywriting: $40/Hour or Per Project Basis (whichever is less) I am willing to work with many budgets and also for partial barter/trade of goods and services.
